HUMAN BODY MASTER COURSE: Seriously, who does this? Pays for years of education and then gives you what they've learned in seven minutes?

Say goodbye to shuffling between a million unfiltered search results and visiting a dozen expensive specialists when you want a solution to your health concern.

Reading health blogs from people who rarely work with clients one-on-one does not give you the same results as this.

Over 50 practicing Naturopathic Doctors, Medical Doctors, Nutritional Counselors, Chiropractors, Master Herbalists, Holistic Dentists, and a wide variety of experienced professionals are contributing breakthroughs in their expertise, so that you don't have to keep searching for answers that have already been found!

In the following entertaining video, you will hear Karen Urbanek open up to share her motive behind creating this course (it's a tear-jerker for about 10 seconds, warning you....), see a preview of the course, and glimpse the appearance of a famous model at the beginning (...okay maybe it's the handsome arm of our amazing IT guy Dean...).

Read Your Blood Work Better Than Your Doctor -- Workshop by Dr. Essen

classes dr essen Aug 27, 2019

Dr. Essen is flying in from MN to teach us his famous blood work class!

SATURDAY SEPT 14th 9 am - 5 pm

Join Dr. Essen and fellow health-conscious students as he explains basic blood chemistry and teaches us nutritional support therapies. He will show you how to access blood panels for you and your family without using the medical system. Each value on the Comprehensive Wellness Panel (blood report) will be reviewed and discussed as to what those numbers mean to a person’s health.  All blood values will be under guidelines of Functional Blood Normal, which is much more accurate than Lab Normal (what hospitals and most all Medical Doctors use).  Each blood value will also have a specific nutritional protocol that will be used in imbalanced results. Each student will also be given a set of specific tools to use to evaluate blood test results.

It is $69.00 to attend the class, and if you would like a blood panel done it is an additional $100.00. If you...

Let's talk HISTAMINE: Mental fatigue, "allergy" or digestive cramping? Could be related to THIS organic compound

By Karen Urbanek, Holistic Healthcare Practitioner

Probably 40% of my clients deal with what they consider "food allergies."

But what research and my experience suggest... is that for several of them, their condition may actually be a histamine intolerance!

Could your allergies be a histamine intolerance?

Could your health issues be triggered by a build-up of histamines?

Could the planet be saved by quercetin and DAO?

Yes, yes, and maybe ... it may take more than DAO and quercetin!

Let’s talk HISTAMINE.

Histamine is a chemical involved in the immune system, central nervous system, helps with proper digestion and is a neurotransmitter made in the stomach as part of the stomach acid.

Histamine’s main role is to cause an immediate inflammatory response. It serves as a red flag notifying your body of any potential attackers and causes the blood vessels to dilate so white blood cells can quickly rush to the site of infection or...

Sprouting 101 + Karen's French Vanilla Rawnola

Hi Everyone! Karmen here :) You may have seen my video on sprouting on the Karen's Holistic Health Facebook page, however, I wanted to get some sprouting tips down in writing for those of you that prefer the written word over audio! I'll also share the recipe for the rawnola I was sprouting ingredients for during that video.

SPROUTING

Sprouting is the process in which seeds germinate and put out shoots. Now you might be saying, "Karmen, why in the world would I want to do this to my food? Doesn't that mean it's gone bad?" In reality, sprouting has immense nutrition benefits! We'll talk about those benefits below, but let's get to the basics here.

  • First, take your nut, seed, grain, or bean of choice and rinse them well.
  • Put your rinsed item in a glass jar and cover with water about 2 inches above the top of the food item, then soak for the designated time. (Time varies from one nut or seed to the next, for example, soak almonds for 8 hours and sunflower seeds for 1 to 2 hours)
  • Rinse...

H. Pylori: Tips to Eliminate One Pesky Bacteria!

h.pylori healthy living Jul 15, 2019

H. Pylori - How to Eliminate the Great Infector!

It seems that dis-ease comes in waves, and as of late – H. pylori infections are mounting. Thus, this article!  Whether it came into your body through undercooked chicken, raw eggs, using someone else’s cups or utensils, kissing that special someone, eating from someone else’s plate, the counter top, or simply from food or drink you consumed that was contaminated, the spread of this infection and the treatments for it are growing daily. In fact, the Worldwide Health Organization classifies H. pylori as a carcinogen, as it has been proven to cause stomach cancer while the National Institutes of Health (NIH) states over 50% of those over the age of 60 are infected and 20% of those under the age of 40 are infected!

Helicobacter pylori, otherwise known as H. pylori, is an opportunistic bacterium.  This means one can have the bacteria for weeks or years without it growing, and then when the...

Remarkable Success Stories (to give you goosebumps and HOPE!)

Uncategorized Jul 11, 2019

One of the best parts of working in the holistic world is hearing people’s success stories! Can I hear a hallelujah?

I LOVE checking my email and phone.  Whether it's a text from one of my clients or hearing from a TNC, I don’t have enough hours in the day to share the amazing stories that come in each week.  Parents and individuals are discovering the root cause to health problems once and for all, and regaining control of their health.

Here are some recent successes… Positive you'll enjoy!

A few months ago, Daniel of Las Vegas said:

“I have trouble focusing and I can’t remember, this brain is driving me crazy!”

After tweaking a couple things in his diet and adding Lion's Mane to his morning smoothie (a medicinal mushroom powder) he told me last week:

It’s like I have this index file in my brain and I can think through all of the notes quickly now, and remember things! I love...

The Carb Debate: What to tell your friends when they ask about CARBS

diet nutrition Jun 05, 2019

By Amy Sprouse

Carbs….

Your friend on the left is trying the Keto Diet.

Your friend on the right says they might become a Fruitarian.

You’ve seen dozens of online articles and research explaining how reducing carb intake leads to weight loss.

Yet many populations throughout the world base their diet on rice and noodles and have a very healthy BMI.

So what’s the bottom line with carbs?

In the midst of today’s food environment, where so many low-quality carbs and bad food combinations are commonplace, I’m not surprised that many diets target carbs as the “bad guys.”

But before we start second-guessing our sweet potatoes, lentil beans, apples and wild rice, let’s review carbohydrates for a minute.

Our bodies are built to run off of carbohydrates. The mitochondria inside our cells responsible for energy production are designed with glucose as their primary fuel source.  (Glucose is the unit that carbohydrates are...
